Our Kitchen is in the award-winning hands of Ian Orr and Marcus Roulston of the Browns Bonds Hill Collection.  Ian and his Business partner Marcus Roulston have aimed to provide Members & Guests with an exceptional dining experience, whether in our casual dining lounges or our fine dining Restaurant overlooking the Strand Beach, "Eighteen94".  Menus focus on local produce which changes with the seasons. Inspiration for the menus comes from the Team, researching new ingredients and new techniques to give diners an unforgettable experience.

Named Best Chef in County Londonderry five years in a row by Restaurants Association of Ireland and being instrumental in developing Tourism Northern Ireland’s new signature dish in the Year of Food and Drink, Ian frequently appears on local and national television showcasing his culinary skills, most recently BBC’s Saturday Kitchen and UTV Life.

Ian has represented Northern Ireland in New York, appeared on Great British Menu, has been named five times in Bridgestone / McKenna Top Ten Chefs to Watch and was awarded Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Chef of the Year in 2013. Following in the footsteps of Giants continues at the Bar!  Ireland is the home of ‘the black stuff’, and we are proud of producing an excellent pint of Guinness in any of our Bars including at our great hideaway at the 9th, The Rockshore Halfway HutRockshore, Harp and Magners Cider on draught with our very own locally produced Bushmills Whiskies leading the optics gives you a real taste of Ireland whatever your tipple; we have an excellent array of wines to suit your meal selection or make it a real celebration with a bottle of bubbly or perhaps enjoy our finest

Facilities / Opening Hours:

Food & drinks are served in our main Strand Bar & Lounge and Members Bar with a daily menu available.
For the golfers we have a Spike Bar on the ground floor overlooking the putting green and we also have
The Rockshore Hut at The Turn – a popular watering hole, an abyss, where some have been known to enter
and the 18 holes become 9...

For occasions, weddings and private parties we also have a large Function Room which adjoins the Strand Lounge – great for those special occasions, conferences or corporate days.

  • Alcohol is served from 11.30am – 11pm (Sundays 12.30pm – 10pm) / Winter Mondays Bar closes at 9pm 
Food is served:
  • Summer April - September: Sun 10am - 8pm; Mon - Sat 10am - 9pm 
  • Winter October - March: Mon & Tue Soup & Sandwiches 12-3pm / Wed & Thu 10am-7pm / Fri & Sat 10am-9pm / Sun 10am - 7pm 
  • Times may vary during the winter season, Easter & Christmas periods.
  • Members & Guests are advised to book in advance for weekends and for parties of 6 or more.
